Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction | Feb. 2022 – Jan. 2023

Appointed by the governor as Wyoming’s 23rd State Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2022; constitutionally entrusted with general supervision of Wyoming’s public education system. 

• Oversaw a department of 168 staff; responsible for the state education budget of 1.8 billion dollars
• Launched Wyoming Teacher Apprenticeship initiative & Tourism-Hospitality Project
• Signed MOU for Taiwan-Wyoming Student & Teacher Exchange
• Sat on eight state boards including the state board of education and UW board of trustees
• Fought USDA federal overreach efforts; opposed sexualization of children issue 
• Raised $40,000 dollars for Schroeder for Wyoming campaign 
• Endorsed by former Secretary of Education Dr. William Bennett and President Donald Trump
